Nesroms: What are your goals for the emulator?
labtec_: I wanted the emulator to be as accurate as I could make it. Also I wanted it where other people could contribute to it if they wanted.
Nesroms: So the emu is Open Source?
labtec_: Right now no, I am trying to clean it up before I do anything like that. The method of other people contributing is through external DLLs at first. That isn't clean yet so I haven't opened the API up yet.
Nesroms: With all the Nintendo emulators out..do you feal in like your in compitition?
labtec_: Well its a hobby of mine and its something I always wanted to do. It would be nice just to know someone else than my friends have used my emulator.
Nesroms: What do you hope your emulator will do in the near future?
labtec_: Well play more games... and be more accurate. I would like add some debugging tools for nes developers.
Nesroms: Do you think the Emu sCene is becoming to Commercial? *example* Ines and Smynes
labtec_: Well every author can do what it wants. I don't think the scene has become a totally capitolist enviroment. People put hard work in their programs, so if they feel that they should receive some kind of reward I don't see anything wrong with it. In an open information enviroment there will always be a free version of a software product. I bought iNES back in the day, but now I use my own emu.
Nesroms: Final Question is, who has provided the most support/help for you while creating the emulator?
labtec_: I have had a lot of help from many different people, but loopy has helped me the most.
We would like to thank labtec for this brief but insightful interview.
